Inisfail: Ancient Irish Myth

When the ancient Irish gods stepped onto the soil of Ireland, they burned their boats so they could never leave…

Step into a beautiful yet bloodstained landscape where gods in golden halls drink from the cow of plenty, Kings are healed by children, fathers vie with sons, one-eyed giants make their bid for power, and lusty monsters spit in the face of the prophets.

This contemporary performance of the Irish myths of invasion is tautly laced with wit and verve. Join Claire Murphy for an evening of giant warriors, jealous kings and limb loss.

UniVerse

A mathematician finds a gift from a god.

Blacksmiths beat out the music of the spheres.

And why are there turtles everywhere?

Where does myth meet science? Is it only in the middle of the night when we half wake and half sleep? In this timeless place of wonder and insight, time stretches and a fissure opens that builds a dream bridge between many worlds…

The King of Lies

A beautiful country is at the mercy of a lie-obsessed king as he pits his wits against a fool in a self-made lying competition. Sound familiar?

Blending reportage and folklore to tell a story that underlines the power of fakery, this performance is a dynamic adaptation of Damascus Nights, by exiled Syrian writer Rafik Schami.

A dark and ferocious journey, where monsters leap with blinding frenzy, one-eyed monsters hunt the shores, and shape-shifters blur the line between this world and the otherworld.

Learn how fairies came from the fallen gods, how broken promises can change the fate of a nation, and how great battles shaped the very earth itself.

On the Heels of the Hound is recommended for children ages 8 and up.
